The trials and tribulations of a forced lifestyle brought about by the invasion of government agents and their attempt to wipe out the moonshiners by any means possible. Put yourself back in 1949. Two wartime widows find themselves living in the same trailer court in a California desert community. You cannot find two people with more diverse backgrounds that have so much in common. One is a daytime waitress in the local diner to make ends meet. The other, a down and out former Navy Registered Nurse who finds herself going to work for the local small town doctor. Who knows what may transpire. The many personalities of the individuals living in this small trailer court fill the story with humor, drama, sex and intrigue.
